Pre Helsinki House at Paris Fashion Week SS17

The Pre Helsinki House presentation on Wednesday, September 28th, showcased the SS17 collections by four carefully curated Finnish fashion designers and brands. The immersive hybrid between fashion presentation, installation and performance art, saw the designers taking over the various rooms and living spaces of a haussmannien apartment in Paris. With the unexpected settings - Aamu Salo’s deconstructed bedroom, Hanne Jurmu’s raconteurial living room environment, the multi-sensory, architectonic Powder Room by design duo Juslin Maunula, and the “break-up karaoke” performance piece by Lepokorpi - coming together under one roof, the Pre Helsinki presentations aim to highlight the artistic strength of Finnish fashion. The presentation in Paris was a thematic continuum of the concept introduced in Helsinki during the annual Pre Helsinki Week in May 2016.
