To celebrate five years of pioneering work in the field of Finnish fashion, Pre Helsinki’s curated event program taking place in Helsinki from May 13th until May 20th will offer something for both fashion industry professionals as well as public audiences.
The theme of this year’s Pre Helsinki week will explore the intersections between art and fashion. Pre Helsinki has teamed up with EMMA Modern Art Museum, and on May 16th, with “Prenaissance”, a joint presentation of six designers, Pre Helsinki will take over various exhibition spaces of the Museum in an immersive cross between fashion show, installation and performance art.
Among other main events, one of Pre Helsinki’s original designers Sasu Kauppi is returning to the Helsinki fashion scene with a new collection. Kauppi’s new brand SSSU
will be launched in the beginning of the Pre Helsinki week on May 15th.
Pre Helsinki also continues its collaboration with the iconic Finnish design brand Artek for the second year, creating a pop up at the Artek flagship store in the center of Helsinki, open from May 13th until May 20th.
Further program to be announced later during the spring.
